SWEDEN – Norwegian electropop star Kamferdrops, comedy legend Jonas Gardell, Swedish Idol act Renaida Braun and folk singer Kalle Moraeus are the latest rumoured names for the 2018 Melodifestivalen edition according to the one and only, Aftonbladet. Kamferdrops is the stage name of upcoming Norwegian musician Heidi Musum. Jonas Gardell is a hugely successful and popular Swedish comedian, author and playwright. Renaida is known from her participation last year in Swedish Idol and Kalle is a successful Swedish folk musician. Regarding Alcazar, Aftonbladet reports that they still don’t have the song they want to enter Melodifestivalen 2018 (yet!)

SPAIN – Ainhoa Cantalapiedra, winner of Spain’s second season of Operación Triunfo said that she would love to go to Eurovision but she claims the procedure inside TVE is not transparent. More specifically she said: “I would love to try again and represent Spain at Eurovision but only when everything is more transparent.” The singer approached this year’s situation and ended up defending Manel Navarro from the critics who, for her, was part of a set up: “It was not fair to watch the poor guy being surrounded by negativity because Spain’s format isn’t transparent enough.”

FINLAND / POLAND – Norma John who represented Finland this year in Kyiv and missed the final although it was one of the fans favourite (even for the trophy) are collaborating with Kasia Mos, also participating in the 2017 Eurovision Song Contest. They are going to Poland this December and record a duet with Kasia Mos which will be released on January 18th.

dear friends! Thank you for following and thank you for your patience. It's been a long time since #blackbird and we've been writing dozens of new songs hoping to get something released for you guys to listen. It's been a hard process trying to figure out the way to publish stuff. Which song, with who, how, etc etc. Originally the plan was to have our next single out there in the beginning of summer but then things really turned complicated. We felt that everything depended on other people and we lost track a bit. But thanks to your support and love, we got back. Stronger than ever🔥❤ finally, good things are happening. We're gonna go to Poland on december and gonna record a duet (all three of us;) with the lovely @kasiamos_official and it's gonna be released of course❤ Our next single is going to be released on January 18 and it's gonna be epic, we're soooo happy and can't wait!!!! Stay tuned!! Love you guys!!!!❤❤ never give up and always believe in yourself💯💯😎peace out!!!☮️💟 #normajohn #newmusic #newsingle #duet #kasiamos #staytuned #soexcited #single #music

EBU – European Broadcasting Union declared that there will be no tolerance and will not allow any use of the Nagorno Karabakh in the 2017 Junior Eurovision Song Contest, since Armeniann participant Michael Grigoryan (Misha) is from the disputed region (just like 2010 JESC winner, Vladimir Arzumanyan). Since internationally, this region is recognised as Azeri territory any Armenian statement in the show will be penalised, just as happened with Iveta and her flag show off during the screening of the Green Room in Stockholm.

GREECE – Today’s drama episode from Greece has a statement by the composer of Areti Ketime’s song. Mr Dimtris Karras claims that there is a going to be a song leak the coming days and warns those trying to disqualifying Areti’s entry that ERT has declared none of the songs will be disqualified if the songs leak.

SAN MARINO – Margaret, Egine, Berget and Syuzanna Melqonyan are bidding for San Marino as their bids found in the platform of the 1in360 marathon selection are fake and re uploaded few hours alter. The mess started to clear up. Margaret’s entry was indeed fake and removed from the platform. But there are a lot of rumours regarding fake submissions such as those of: Ben Woodward, Yola Dinis, Maxine Swaby. It’s clear now that the effort for an international selection for San Marino is a mess.
